Brieflet is an AI reading assistant for busy professionals. It continuously reads the sources you choose - journals, news sites, newsletters - and delivers one brief each morning: only what matters to you, each summary written for your background, with a line on why it's relevant. It even tells you what it skipped.
Brieflet is a personal reading assistant for anyone whose job depends on staying informed - clinicians, researchers, lawyers, PMs, consultants, analysts, founders. You pick your sources; Brieflet reads them for you and delivers a single brief each morning with just the items worth your time, written in plain language and tailored to your background, each with a line on why it matters to you. Each brief spans both your work and your personal interests, so one read keeps you current on your field and on whatever else you follow. It clusters multiple sources covering the same story into one item, learns continuously from your feedback (tell it in plain English what you don't want to see), remembers what it has already shown you, and connects today's news to what you read days ago. Crucially, it tells you what it skipped, so you can trust nothing important slipped through. Web and iOS (iPhone + iPad). First two weeks free, then $12/month.
Brieflet started with a problem I couldn't solve: keeping up. I'm a physician-researcher in London, and somewhere between clinic, research, and family I quietly gave up trying to stay on top of the literature - not because I stopped caring, but because there was never enough time. The papers I most wanted to read were exactly the ones I never got to.
So I built the tool I needed, for myself first. Brieflet reads the sources I choose and hands me one short brief each morning: just the items worth my attention, in plain language, each with a line on why it matters to me. Whatever isn't relevant, it leaves out - and it tells me what it skipped, so I can trust nothing important slipped through.
I soon realized it was useful well beyond medicine. Brieflet is for anyone whose job depends on staying informed - clinicians, researchers, lawyers, PMs, consultants, analysts, founders - who need to keep up with a fast-moving field without drowning in it. It's a solo-built product: I lead product, engineering, design, and go-to-market.
Brieflet is a new take on RSS. RSS solved distribution but stayed a power-user tool: endless feeds, manual keyword filters, and far more to read than anyone has time for - which is why most people never adopted it. Brieflet uses AI to do the filtering, reading, and prioritizing for you, so the busy professionals who never wanted to manage feeds or write keyword rules get the benefit of RSS without the work. You choose sources; Brieflet reads them for you and returns one short, personalized brief, like a personal assistant or chief of staff.
Two things make it more than a summarizer:
Every summary is written for your background - not one generic summary served to everyone. Brieflet tunes the language to your expertise: it skips explaining what you already work with daily and fills in what sits outside your field. Take a story on new AI regulation for medical devices: a physician gets the legal change explained in plain terms (clinical concepts assumed), while a healthcare lawyer gets the clinical context filled in (the legal mechanism assumed).
Tell Brieflet what you do and don't want to see - no keywords, no regex - and it adapts. It also remembers past briefs, connecting today's news to what you read days or weeks ago.
