Brieflet was founded by Roy Schwartz, an ophthalmologist and researcher in London.

It started as a personal project for managing the volume of reading attached to clinical and research work. It was later developed into a product that filters each user's chosen sources and prepares a brief around that person's professional interests and existing knowledge.

Brieflet is independently built and operated by Brieflet Limited.
